Now, that isn’t unimportant, but there is something else that is at least as important as it if not more. That is, you need to analyze the personality off your website traffic more than you analyze your own personality. If you are able to mold your website in accordance with the visitors’ own personalities, you are certainly going to score a bigger hit with them and probably have them for keeps. One thing is sure – you can rise above the competition if you strike a chord with your target audience.
So, how do you go about this? The first thing here is that you need to find out what kind of personality your visitors have. That you can estimate by looking at the type of people that are visiting you. Are these people housewives or working women? Are they working men? Are they retired people? Are they teenagers? Each one of these categories requires a different approach. You cannot write in the same tone to a housewife as you would to a teenager. If you estimate where your main traffic is coming from, you could tweak the content according to that.
If you are finding it difficult to find out where your main bulk of visitors are coming from, you can make use of your blog to check that out. Make your blog popular. The posts made by your visitors will give you a very clear indication of the nature of your traffic. In fact, the people that visit your blog belong to the same demographic as the people who visit your website. This is one of the many reasons why you should supplement your online business with a blog.
But it not just the written content that matters. The Internet is a visual media. You are likely going to use videos and photos. Make sure these are in sync with the preferences of your target audience too. For example if your website is about a pension plan, you could have a retired person sitting comfily by a fireplace and speaking about it. This makes a better impact than if a pimple-faced teenager was to speak about the pension plan.
When you decide on giveaways, think of giveaways that will have some value for the target traffic. Do not give away an eBook on finding summer jobs if your target traffic comprises mainly of middle-aged women. Use your head – you don’t just need the traffic; you want to keep it too.
